Welcome to Ms. Jarakian's Web PageMs. Jarakian received her M.A. in Educational Administration from the California State University, Los Angeles, and her B.A. in Liberal Studies from the California State University, Northridge. She holds several California credentials and certificates. Ms. Jarakian authored and was granted a Transitional Bilingual Program grant proposal, and researched and developed Armenian Reading and Comprehension Assessments for students in bilingual programs. Ms. Jarakian has organized State-wide and District-wide conferences for educators, parents and community members. Ms. Jarakian was born in Aleppo, Syria located in Asia Minor (Middle East). She speaks four languages and is working on her fifth, Spanish. She has travelled throughout the United States and Armenia, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Russia, Korea, Hong Kong, Italy, France, Spain, England, and hopes to visit Canada in the near future. Ms. Jarakian enjoys cooking, family outings and entertaining her large extended family and circle of friends. She particularly likes relaxing and spending time with her two daughters. She has been a good role model for education- Her older daughter is an English teacher at Lawrence Middle School, and her younger daughter is a senior at University of California, Santa Barbara pursuing a B.S. in Biology. She is actively involved with many community organizations. Ms. Jarakian looks forward to an exciting and prosperous year filled with new challenges as she works with all the students, parents, teachers and administrators of Alexandria Avenue School.
