My Fourth of July
by Karla M.

On the Fourth of July, my family and I went to the beach. The beach was fun. We did a lot of swimming at the beach. My father made a sand castle. My mother bought me some firecrackers. Later, we went to eat. I liked burning the firecrackers. When I returned home, I brushed my teeth and went to bed.
