I left in May 1801. I missed my house and gardening we did at our old home.
We had to cross a river today, we paid an Indian $5.00 for a little boat to float our wagon across.
We saw some ripe apples on the way, so we stopped to pick some. All in my famly are fine, even my oxen.
It was a good thing we left in spring so that there will be grass that my oxen could eat. My brother Joshua was bitten by
a snake, but he hot better in two days. Indians attacked our wagons three days ago, but no one died. I did lose one of my oxen, though. But, I
had an extra one to pull the wagon. We had some robbers come, and they stole thrity-five pounds of food when we were
out hunting. I shot three deer, it was 100 pounds of food in total.
When we passed through the Appalachians, I saw some animals. I wonered what they were, but I had a book of animals and
I saw some animals. I wondered what they were, but I had a book of animals ad I saw that they wre prairie
dogs. When I hunted, there were a lot of deer and bears.
Then again my brother was bitten by a snake, but he got well again this time.
All About Me
By Moses M, Mr. Hernandez' Class
My name is Moses. I am 8 years old.
I was born in a hospital in Los Angeles. I live with my
parents and brother. My dad is 29 years old. My mom is 30
years old. My brother is only 7 months old.
When we go shopping we buy things for my family.
My mom likes to go out to eat. My dad likes to shop
for clothes. We buy clothes for my brother.
When we read the bible, sometimes my brother is with
us and sometimes he isn't. My dad reads first, my mom
second, and me last. My brother doesn't because he
does not know how to read. My dad takes care of my brother
in the daytime. My mom takes care of my brother at night.
Sometimes I help my dad and sometimes I help my mom. My
hobby is to learn. I like PokŽmon too. My favorite
president is Abraham Lincoln.
