A Day in the Wilderness
A Day in the Wilderness
by Kristopher A.

We started on May 16, 1876. We are crossing The Appalachian Mountains. We are riding in wagons with oxen pulling them. It is sad because we had to leave some of our belongings behind, and it has been hard because some people have died. There have been people getting bitten by snakes. I think it is a good thing that some travelers have gone ahead. They know if it is safe so we don't take the wrong way and get lost or attachked by Indians. People like Daniel Boone know the way. They know where to go and what to do in case something bad happens. Today is June 16, 1876.
